TSQWANML - MBA Program at Queen's School of Business

Program Overview

Queen’s full-time MBA is an incomparable and transformational learning experience.
At Queen’s we recognize that not everyone comes to an MBA program with the same background, the same talents and skills, the same experiences or even the same aspirations.

It stands to reason that a “one size fits all” approach is simply impractical.

Queen’s has developed a unique and exciting new approach to learning – built on the four pillars outlined below– that provides a level of customization that is simply not available in other MBA programs.

Transformational Team-Based Learning
While many MBA programs tout the importance of teamwork, Queen’s is one of a select few in the world that formally assign students to teams for the duration of the program, providing an experiential opportunity to develop and hone critical team and leadership skills.

Integrated Cross-Functional Thinking
Queen’s MBA curriculum has been designed to not only provide a solid understanding of management fundamentals, but also to demonstrate how solving problems and capitalizing on opportunities requires integrated, cross-functional thinking. Using a combination of class instruction, case studies, simulations and real-world projects, Queen’s professors teach as a team to ensure an integrated approach to learning.

Personal Learning Pathway™
Beyond a thorough knowledge of management fundamentals or “hard skills”, success in business also requires an array of “soft skills”. These include strategic thinking, effective listening, negotiation, and communication to name just a few. Using a unique and innovative assessment tool, Queen’s is able to determine your strengths, as well as your developmental needs, in these critical soft skill areas. Using this information and your career aspirations, Queen’s then develops your Personal Learning Pathway™ – a customized package of courses, personal coaching, and personal development opportunities to suit your individual needs.

International Exchange Opportunities
In today’s world, it is critical that MBA students be prepared for the global business environment. In addition to courses on International Business, Queen’s MBA students have the option of an international exchange during the final module of the program at one of our international business school partners. The list of international partners is being developed. Currently, we have agreements in place with University of Mannheim (Germany) and Indian School of Business (India).

Elective Streams
Additionally, Queen’s MBA offers four elective streams – Consulting & Project Management, Marketing, Finance, and Innovation & Entrepreneurship.
