The Graduate Diploma in Business Administration - MSc 24-month - MBA 24-month

The Diploma programme is the first year of our 2 year MSc and MBA programmes as well as being a recognised qualification in its own right.

Key features of the Graduate Diploma in Business Administration (GDBA) include:

• Successful students progress to the MBA or MSc of their choice
• Students take 12 modules over 9 months MBA 24 month students have a wider choice of electives in year 2

The Graduate Diploma meets the needs of those wanting to gain a qualification which provides a firm grounding in management and a basis for further academic study.

It is also a way forward for candidates who might not meet the academic or English language criteria required by the admissions tutors on the MSc or MBA programmes.

Diploma students can transfer to the MBA or MSc programme in the following year provided that work is of the required standard (in this case, the Diploma will not be formally awarded and the MBA/MSc will be the qualification achieved).

The Diploma focuses on the functional areas of management within an organisation and how those disciplines integrate at the operational level, linking with the overall corporate strategy to achieve short, medium and long term objectives.

For those wanting to undertake the MBA who have appropriate quantitative skills, it is possible to enter the preliminary year half way through in January, before proceeding to the main MBA year the following September. The MBA may therefore be achieved via a 24-month or 21-month programme in addition to the 12-month direct entry programme.
