INSEAD MBA Program - Y

INSEAD MBA in Brief

  • Two campuses - Fontainebleau and Singapore
    • Fontainebleau is located 65kms south of Paris, and is a small, very picturesque French town located at the edge of the second largest forest in Europe.
    • Singapore is a colourful, thriving city-state where English is the lingua franca, and the standard of living is high.
  • One-year MBA Programme - just over 10 months in fact.
  • Two intakes
    • September: starts late August, ends early July
    • January: starts early January, break for July and August, ends late December
  • Guaranteed opportunity to study on both campuses. Option to study in Wharton in the USA due to the INSEAD - Wharton Alliance.
  • Diverse and truly international student body. Currently 73 nationalities represented with no one nationality more than 12% of the class.
  • Intense but fun experience. Workload can be more than 70 hours a week, particularly early in the year, but you will always find time to enjoy yourself and get to know your peers in a social setting.
  • Top-tier business school, extremely well regarded by recruiters and widely respected for our entrepreneurial spirit and closeness to business worldwide.
  • Participants benefit greatly from each other's experience, and work experience is therefore very important for admission to INSEAD. The average is 5.7 years, but quite a broad range - the middle 80% is 3.5 to 8.5 years.
  • Average age is 29; range on campus now is 23 - 38.
  • One of the fastest returns on investment of an MBA programme in the world.
  • Current fees €48,800 for the September 2007 and January 2008 intakes, financing options available.
  • 882 students on campus this year, split between the two intakes. Each cohort/section has about 75 participants, which is your immediate learning set for your core courses.
  • Very strong emphasis on teamwork, class participation and cooperation.
  • The INSEAD MBA has 13.5 core courses and 10 electives. In 2005 there were 121 electives offered to choose from.
  • Average GMAT on campus this year is 702.
  • 61% of the current class are exchanging campus.
  • English is the language of tuition and life in general, but you need another language to be admitted and a third to graduate.
  • INSEAD is the biggest user of video conferencing technology in France. The two campuses are completely integrated through our IT infrastructure.
  • INSEAD pioneered the one-year MBA back in 1959. This concept has proven itself in the marketplace since then.
